Rob Nicholson of HumbledEyes Photography organized a cool shootout with a bunch of amazing Philadelphia based wedding photographers. I lended some support and landed a few good models and all were amazing! Here are a few of mine…I had fun playing with some techniques that will ROCK some weddings for me this year…always better to experiment with models than my brides and grooms the day of their wedding!

Meg and David’s wedding is quickly approaching and here is a little refresh of their e-session in the city! Ceremony at Old St. Joseph’s church, the oldest in Philadelphia, and the reception at the Omni Hotel at Independence Park in Old City. Their theme for the wedding…democrats vs. republicans. They were in town for Meg’s bridal shower this past weekend and we spent an hour walking around Philly and a fun cab ride to Love Park.
I always ask my couples what they want when we head out on an engagement session…Independence Hall was an important one for Meg…so here you go!
We couldn’t really work in the whole democrat vs republican thing…but the bunting is as political as you can get

So 2008 is over (I am actually working on the Best of 2008 slideshow) and planning for 2009 is well underway…one wedding already done in fact! Here are a couple locations that I will be visiting with my couples this year…should be an exciting year!
It is amazing how many reception locations there are out there and how many there are still to shoot at as you will see from this select list of the year’s locations.
Omni at Independence Park Hotel Azalea Ballroom – beautiful downtown Philly location
Rivercrest Golf Club – great place in Phoenixville with great vistas for awesome images!
Pavilion Ballroom at the Ronald Reagan Building – gorgeous ballroom in the heart of Washington, DC
Talamore Country Club – great location and one that I will be visiting for the first time!
Waterfall Banquet Hall – neat place that I have not shot at yet
Breakers Hotel – Awesome place in Spring Lake, NJ that I shot at two years ago for Erin & Eric
French Creek Golf Club – super golf course and awesome views all around!

Mendenhall Inn – one the best staffs to work with in the area…you would have no problems! (I’ll be there twice this year)
Lake Mohawk Country Club – cool place very close to our summer lake house…very cool to shoot so close!
Faunbrook Bed & Breakfast – the best place in West Chester for an intimate upscale reception
The Desmond Hotel – great upscale place in Malvern…very nice!
So just a few for the upcoming year.
